I dreamt of rain last night.....

I dreamt of rain last night. Sheets and sheets of water drenching me to the skin. A storm brewing. The thrill of shattering vibrations. Strands of lightning licking the midnight sky. Splashes of sizzling electricity slicing the darkness.

The storm calms me. I like the serenity I feel inside with all the energy I feel outside. Life giving energy, life taking energy, violent energy. I feel a kick in me. A sudden one, a strong one and I want to move, sway, with the rhythm of the water, feel it on my body. Touching me like someone’s hands. I like how it feels on my skin, rolling and sliding.

There is profound elation. I don’t know why? Its all so real. I feel the energy transferred to me. Am I willing the heavens to open? Willing them to pour their essence into me? I can feel the energy in my sleep and I remember wanting to wake up and see the rain.

It rained this morning!

    I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
    And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.

    I step very softly,
    I walk very slow,
    I can't do a handstand--
    I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said--
I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.

    Hey Jo-T !
Í'm always in a lookout for a nice n cool rainy atmosphere to creep in....
    I simply love the sight...
Dark clouds trying to make their way.... pushing aside the hot sunny day !!
Bringing down the holy water from the heavenly sky...
Making sure that the dried up lands remain no more dry !

...hmmmmm... by the way, any idea how a Rain Dance is performed ??

Like I said before, the way you describe your imaginations takes me right on the line which defines the transition of dreams into reality! I don't read your words, I see them, I feel them & I feel myself there, right there, in the night with my river of dreams. My current hibernates, and I find myself somewhere between your words while you describing the night and shining armor of the beautiful rain of zeal & energy!

All in all, amazing piece of work!

    Keep it up buddy :-)

If you find yourself in the rain , then perhaps you already sense what is happening,i already feel it inside.the inner energy IS indeed da key, my friend! & 1ce u undrstnd urself completely, u wudn't b bothered abt da rest... coz den, there will b NO rest... everythin is just WITHIN u... so wen u want changes 2 happen, u know whr 2 start... jst dream about it and it will always rain in the morning ..What goes around comes around ..hmm.... Something like "shub shub bolo"..

    Cool

Rain reminds many people of many a thing. For me, the best rain-related (or say, rain-drenched) memories are also related to the game of soccer. Only those who have been there, done that can understand what it is like to play soccer on a water-logged field (with not more than two inches of water in places, not the entire field) while it is still raining. Sounds unromantic? No way, it is romantic. Ask me.

There is, of course, another kind of memory---that of sitting on a low wall on the college campus and enjoying the drops all over one's body, and singing those beautiful lines from the Gulzar-Bhupen Hazarika album, Main aur Mera Saya. The lines go something like this:

    ...
Bijlee ki taaron se jhoolti boondein,
Soch rahi hai kya meri hi batein...

    That was an out-of-the-world feeling.
