Confusion

Does a kind word hide a hidden agenda? Do favours given mean liberties expected? Does concern hide an obsession? Does rain cloak death? And does the sun always burn?

Its a mad, unpredictable, confusing world and we live crazy, chaotic loud, screaming lives. A phone call tells you that someone is thinking of you, or does it say that someone is watching you, following you?

Someone says no and someone ignores it. Someone breaks trust and someone looks the other way. Another excuses it, justifies it. Where is trust? Where is faith? Where is the ability to believe?

Where is unconditional love? Where is the need to keep the other happy? Where is sacrifice and the unconditional joy of giving? Have we grown so old? Are our memory of such things just that... a memory?

Its a new day though... or maybe its yesterday... who can say. Age takes it toll, there is confusion, memory deserts...

Well... its easier said than done... the fundamental problem we all face is that we just cant stop thinking...thinking about the idealistic things n times when we used to be happy- for example, our childhood, when happiness meant the joy of getting new books at the beginning of year, sadness meant rain spoiling the play-field, friends were friends with no hidden motives... n when we compare those times with what we see now, disppointment creeps in. We cant isolate ourselves n simply enjoy the world, as even world is nothing else but group of same people who now behave with duplicity, hypocricy, n shallowness... :( So i completely understand where are you coming from Ms. Frost, im with you on this...

Being a human is a beauty and a curse my friend. A beauty because what you, I or anyone else feel, think or beleive in and expect in one way or the other; something passionate, divine, true, straight

And a curse, cause we are the best known virus on this planet as well.

Its a fight between the sane and the insane.

And trust me, in my words, no one wins ...

Very thought provoking....
But I think inner happiness has to be primarily self motivated and is ultimately one's own responsibility...
Thankyou so much for your comment on my blog!

I agree with you Carolyn. However, people closest to you contribute to your happiness in a big way too.

This was written in march ... so I am hoping that you have long moved on from the confusion.

For me, confusion is always in my head. My life is as simple as I keep it. Not always successful but the effort is forever on.

Thank you for your lovely comment on my post today. Made me smile :o)

Simple straightforward people face little confusion. The problem is that people with no confusion are forced towards the fate of Paan singh tomar ... (figuratively speaking)
